Fund Accountant

We are seeking a CPA/CA to join the Fund Services business line. We specialize in wholesale fund incubation, supporting fund managers with establishment and ongoing operation of managed investment schemes. Our clients span a diverse range of strategies including property, equities, debt and digital assets.

This role reports to a Finance Manager located in Sydney and is ideally suited to a qualified CPA/CA.

Key responsibilities:

• Monthly/ad hoc NTA valuations
• Maintaining general ledgers and supporting workpapers using Xero and internal fund reporting tools across a number of funds
• Support application/redemption registry workflows and MIS compliance processes
• Bank and expense account reconciliations
• Investment portfolio maintenance and supporting valuation work
• Preparation and lodgement of BAS
• Preparation of management and statutory financial statements
• Regular interaction with Fund Managers across a variety of strategies
• Liaison with external tax agents
• Year-end audit co-ordination, where applicable

To be successful you will have:

• Completed CA/CPA studies with a minimum of two years work experience
• Experience with Xero or similar accounting software
• Strong proficiency in MS Office applications
• Experience with managed investment schemes and NTA/unit pricing (advantageous)
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, planning, communication and organisational skills
