About the Role:
We are looking for a Functional Tester with a keen eye for detail and a strong interest in software testing. The ideal candidate should possess good communication skills and demonstrate potential in testing. While foundational knowledge of testing concepts and the ability to create test cases using the Use Case method is expected, we seek someone who is eager to further develop their understanding of testing methodologies and terminologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business and functional requirements to design test cases and test scenarios
- Execute functional test cases to validate software functionality and report defects
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure test coverage
- Improve understanding of testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices through continuous learning
- Participate in test case reviews and refine test approaches based on feedback
- Support regression and exploratory testing efforts as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of software testing principles and methodologies
- Ability to create test cases using the Use Case method
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn and improve technical terminology and testing concepts
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) is a plus
- Understanding of defect tracking and reporting processes
- Knowledge of test scenarios formulation and ability to enhance skills in this area
- Basic experience in exploratory and regression testing
