Functional QA Engineer

About the Opportunity:

Our client is currently hiring of Functional QA Engineer to executes functional test cases and supports defect validation and documentation under supervision of senior QA.

Location: Ortigas, Pasig

Work Setup: 100% Onsite

Contract Duration: May 2026 – January 2028

Role Summary:

The Functional QA is responsible for executing functional test cases and supporting defect validation and documentation under the guidance of senior QA team members. This role focuses on ensuring software quality through thorough manual testing across different test scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute manual test cases and accurately document test results
• Perform regression testing, UI testing, and boundary testing
• Log, track, and validate defects with complete and clear documentation
• Assist in the creation, review, and maintenance of test cases
• Support test environment setup and preparation of test data
• Participate in sprint testing activities and daily Agile ceremonies

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Solid understanding of software testing fundamentals
• Basic knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies
• Familiarity with Jira or similar defect tracking tools
• Basic SQL knowledge is an advantage
