Summary
The Remote Controller / Office Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial operations and ensuring smooth administrative functions within the office. This role combines advanced accounting and compliance responsibilities with leadership in office management, supporting company efficiency and growth.
Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Receive, post and reconcile cash receipts from clients daily
- Pay all suppliers promptly
- Prepare monthly financial package
- Issue invoices to customers and ensure receivables are collected promptly
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of every bank account
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
- Issue financial statements and provide information to external accountants
- Assemble information for external auditors for the annual audit
- Develop and comply with monthly closing procedures
- Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
- Process payroll in a timely manner
Office Management
- Provide administrative support to CEO and CFO as requested
- Coordinate scheduling, meetings, and company events
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Maintain organized filing systems for administrative documents
- Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial management
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and compliance standards
- Expertise in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
