Role Description

Pointwest Innovations Corporation is seeking a Java Developer (Full-stack) to support and enhance mission-critical applications for one of our key clients. In this role, you will work on application maintenance, production support, and system enhancements while collaborating closely with clients and cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based backend services and Angular-based frontend components.
• Provide 2nd-level application production support, including incident analysis, fixes, and root cause resolution.
• Deliver change requests, enhancements, and ad hoc service requests aligned with client priorities.
• Collaborate directly with clients, business analysts, quality engineers, and fellow developers to achieve shared goals.
• Follow coding standards, best practices, and version control processes using Git.
• Identify risks, issues, and improvement opportunities to enhance system stability and team efficiency.
• Work effectively in an agile environment and adapt to changing requirements and priorities.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in Java backend and Angular frontend development.
• Strong working knowledge of Java, Angular, MySQL, and Git.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Comfortable working directly with clients and cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to work on a rotational shift schedule.
• Willingness to work on-site twice a week during regular shift.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with enterprise, educational, e-commerce, or large-scale systems.
• Exposure to production support, maintenance, or enhancement projects.
