WHAT this role means for you:
This is a full-time role for a Full Stack Engineer who wants to help build the technology behind a new era of digital healthcare in the Philippines. Your work will directly shape how people access care: faster platforms, smarter systems, and seamless e-commerce that makes wellness feel easy.
You'll ship impactful features fast, solve meaningful backend problems, and grow your technical range as our platform scales. You're a match if you:
- Architect, build, and maintain backend services (APIs, integrations, data pipelines) that support our web-platform, mobile apps and Shopify-based storefront.
- Customize and extend Shopify storefronts/themes/apps: you'll work with the Shopify ecosystem (Liquid templates, Shopify Admin/REST/GraphQL APIs, app integrations) to ensure our commerce experience is robust and scalable.
- Collaborate with product, UX, design and frontend engineering to translate requirements into technical solutions. Think: You'll be the glue between frontend attempts and backend reality.
- Optimize performance, security, scalability and reliability of our systems (both commerce and health-tech adjacent).
- Troubleshoot, debug, and fix issues across the stack: from database to server to Shopify theme to storefront performance.
- Stay up to date on Shopify evolutions, e-commerce best practices, and backend architecture improvements bring fresh ideas to the table.
Profile Wishlist:
- 3+ years of full-stack web development experience, with significant backend focus (you spend more time in the engine room than on paintwork).
- Comfortable working in a stack that might include Node.js, PHP, Ruby, Python or similar, plus relational/NoSQL databases, REST & GraphQL APIs.
- Has practical experience with Shopify (themes, Liquid templating, Shopify APIs, custom apps/integrations).
- You know frontend enough to collaborate effectively: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Vue, React or similar).
- Understanding of e-commerce / UI/UX considerations: performance, conversion rate optimisation, responsive design, cross-browser issues.
- Experience with headless Shopify architecture, Shopify Plus, third-party integrations (e.g., payment gateways, fulfilment/inventory systems), mobile apps, health-tech domain.
