Work set-up: Hybrid (3 days RTO, 2-days WFH)

Location: Makati City

Responsibilities:

•Writes frontend and backend code.

•Translates strategic design into controls, mechanisms, and processes that users require to meet goals. Designs screens or pages with which a user interacts and ensure UI visually communicates the path that a UX designer has laid out.

•Hands-on RDBMS experience (data modeling, analysis, programming, stored procedures).

•Understands how to find and reuse patterns and platforms in the Manulife ecosystem and the broader community.

•Promotes agile principles and methodology.

•Apply disciplined coding practices to enable agility and delivery of high-quality code.

•Constructs quick interactive prototypes that illustrate your UI design: functional with modern effects, animations, and transitions as appropriate, that present a realistic feel of the intended experience.

•Presents prototypes to a large audience and key stakeholders of Product as and when required.

•Participates in visual problem-solving with the product team, relevant stakeholders within the Product team.

•Collaborates with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience.

•Conceptualizes original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design roadblocks.

•Creates wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.

Technical Knowledge and Skills:

•Experience in Frontend and such as HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, Typescript, Node, Angular 2+, React and Java.

•Experience in working with Database such as MongoDB and SQL.

•Experience in Framework and API / Service Layer such as Spring Boot (Rest Template, Feign Client, Zuul, Sleuth/Zipkin, Hystrix and Maven), Swagger, Node/Express.

•Familiar with NewRelic and Kibana.

•Good Foundation in Test Driven Technologies such as Jasmine, JEST, Mocha, Junit, Mockito (Java)

•Good Foundation in CSS Best practices and Framework like Material UI, BEM, SMACSS, CSS Flexbox, CSS Grid.

•Awareness and adherence to best practices of web standards, testing, and coding for accessibility (ARIA, WCAG).

•Good Foundation in data structures, algorithms, and OO Design with rock-solid programming skills.

Additional experience/knowledge of:

•Knowledge in SonarQube, Fortify and WebInspect

•Knowledge in PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry
