Job Description:
Data Preparation & Analysis:
- Collect, organize, and validate financial and operational data from multiple Excel-based sources.
- Clean, consolidate, and reconcile datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency across reports.
- Analyze trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, operations, and overall business performance.
Reporting & Visualization:
- Develop and maintain financial reports, forecasts, and dashboards using Microsoft Excel.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for leadership and relevant departments.
- Translate complex data into clear, meaningful visual presentations to support business understanding.
Business Support & Insights:
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand financial reporting needs and operational objectives.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data trends (e.g., sales movement, lead performance, service/operations efficiency).
- Support ad hoc financial analyses, scenario modelling, and variance reviews to assist with decision making.
Process Improvement:
- Streamline and enhance existing reporting templates, forecasting tools, and data workflows.
- Identify gaps in current reporting processes and recommend improvements to improve clarity, efficiency, and accuracy.
Accounting Support:
- Assist with basic accounting tasks such as reconciliations, journal entry preparation, and expense tracking.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close activities by providing accurate data and reports.
- Prepare BAS for review by the AUS team
- Work with the accounting team to ensure financial information is aligned across FP&A and accounting functions.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or any related field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:
- Advanced formulas
- Pivot tables
- Data cleaning and manipulation
- Charting and visualization
- Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
- Experience in financial planning, analysis, or accounting is a plus.
- Background in automotive, retail, operations, or similar industries is a plus.
- Ability to translate data findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
