Summary:
The Formulary Rebate Analyst III is responsible for executing accurate and timely rebate calculations, clinical utilization modeling and impact reporting in support of our clinical formulary strategies team across an assigned book of business. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines. The Analyst serves as a key liaison between internal teams, ensuring data integrity and delivering actionable insights that support client needs and strategic objectives. Success in this role depends on a commitment to precision, collaboration, and continuous process improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes the following but are not limited to):
- Responsible for understanding and interpreting client contract terms for assigned segments of rebate reporting; ensures rebate requirements are coded accurately into the rebate database application.
- Ability to analyze large data sets to identify trends, opportunities, and troubleshoot issues that may arise when performing client rebate reporting.
- Prepare client rebate reporting for assigned book of business, ensuring accuracy and completeness while adhering to MedImpact's standards and client contract terms.
- Maintain and adhere to the policies and procedures of all processes pertaining to rebate reporting.
- Ability to translate and display data insights to internal stakeholders in support of strategic decisions.
- Identify and support formulary strategies to maximize clinically appropriate rebate opportunities.
- Requires moderate SQL expertise, including the ability to modify queries, implement conditional logic, perform joins and aggregations, apply indexing and constraints, and utilize advanced functions. Must also be able to interpret complex data sets to accurately support rebate reporting.
- Evaluate internal data and processes to identify opportunities for applying new analytic methodologies.
- Support MedImpact's market leadership by maintaining a comprehensive knowledge base of industry benchmarks and key performance indicators. This includes synthesizing data from external resources for comparison against internal metrics to identify strategic opportunities.
- Maintain a continuous improvement mindset, always looking for new ways to best meet internal and external requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to create SQL queries to retrieve information from data sets pertinent to day-to-day tasks, including but not limited to rebate reporting and ad hoc data requests.
- Manage work queue via Salesforce and other project management platforms.
- Ability to develop quality assurance modeling for reports delivered to internal and external stakeholders.
