Job Description

Forklift Operation:
Safely operate forklifts to load and unload steel products and raw materials from trucks, pallets, and storage locations.
Transport steel items, such as coils, beams, and plates, to designated storage or shipping areas.
Stack and organize materials in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring easy access for future handling.
Inventory Management:
Assist in maintaining accurate records of inventory by scanning barcodes, updating stock levels, and reporting discrepancies.
Ensure steel products are stored in the correct locations and that inventory is properly arranged for easy retrieval.
Perform routine stock checks to ensure proper inventory control.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when operating forklifts, ensuring safe handling of materials to prevent accidents and injuries.
Conduct daily safety inspections of forklifts and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
Ensure the work area is kept clean, organized, and free of hazards to comply with safety standards.
Material Handling:
Assist with the handling of heavy steel products, ensuring that lifting, moving, and stacking is done correctly to avoid damage.
Ensure that all steel materials are properly secured before transport to prevent accidents and product damage.
Collaboration with Other Teams:
Work closely with warehouse, operations, and logistics teams to ensure smooth loading, unloading, and transportation of steel products.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding material needs, inventory levels, and operational updates.
Reporting:
Maintain logs of materials moved and handled, including weights, quantities, and delivery locations.
Report any damages to steel products during handling to supervisors.
Assist in generating reports related to inventory movement, product location, and forklift maintenance.
Maintenance and Housekeeping:
Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts, including battery checks, tire inspections, and ensuring proper fluid levels.
Ensure the forklift is clean, well-maintained, and ready for safe operation at all times.
Help maintain a clean and orderly warehouse or yard to support an efficient and safe work environment.
