Key Responsibilities
- Operational Safety Audits: Conduct regular, comprehensive food safety, health, and hygiene audits across allocated restaurant branches and food preparation areas to ensure 100% compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Monitor day-to-day kitchen operations—including food handling, storage, temperature logging, sanitization, and personal hygiene—ensuring strict adherence to HACCP, GMP, and local regulatory guidelines.
- Incident Management & Root Cause Analysis: Investigate food safety concerns, customer feedback, or health inspection findings promptly. Implement corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans alongside store management.
- Staff Training & Engagement: Assist in conducting engaging food safety orientations and refresher training sessions for restaurant managers, chefs, and service crew to foster a culture of quality and accountability.
- Supplier & Receiving Checks: Oversee incoming raw material inspections, verifying that suppliers and deliveries consistently meet internal quality specifications and cold-chain requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Operations, Quality Assurance, and Store Managers to resolve audit findings and continuously elevate food safety protocols.
Qualifications & Experience
- Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Community Nutrition, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Restaurant Operations Experience: At least 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in a restaurant, fast-food chain, or commercial food service environment is required.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and local sanitation codes.
- Certifications: ServSafe or a recognized Food Safety/Hygiene Manager certification is a strong advantage.
- Skills: High attention to detail, strong observational skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and a constructive approach to coaching store teams.
- Flexibility: Willingness to perform field visits and audits across various restaurant locations.
