About the role:
The Firmware Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of firmware and software used in printer systems. This role supports test strategy, system validation, and risk management while working closely with crossfunctional and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate firmware and software quality to ensure customer expectations are met for reliability, functionality, performance, and usability.
- Design and execute test strategies and test plans, including nonfunctional testing (e.g., performance, scalability, reliability).
- Collect, analyze, and communicate test results, quality metrics, and risks to stakeholders.
- Log, track, and drive resolution of defects and issues in collaboration with development teams.
- Contribute to system design validation, ensuring interoperability and alignment with established enterprise standards and architectures.
- Support quality management practices and oversee testing activities for thirdparty deliverables.
- Identify technical and product risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and communicate impacts to schedule, cost, and quality.
- Participate in technical reviews, project planning, and status reporting.
Qualifications:
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in firmware/software quality assurance, testing, or related quality systems.
- Strong analytical, problemsolving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with crossfunctional, global teams.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Leadership, coordination, and crossfunctional collaboration experience.
- ISTQB or similar software testing certification.
