Firewall Delivery Engineer to lead the design and implementation of next-generation firewall (NGFW) and network security solutions within active client engagements.
Job Responsibilities:
This role is responsible for the technical execution and delivery-aligned design of enterprise security infrastructures. Key responsibilities include:
- Spearhead the deployment, migration, and optimization of enterprise firewall solutions across global environments.
- Configure, validate, and troubleshoot firewall platforms to ensure secure and reliable network operations.
- Design and implement security policies, complex rule-bases, segmentation strategies, and NAT configurations.
- Support cutover planning, risk mitigation, issue resolution, and post-deployment stabilization activities.
- Partner closely with project managers, architects, and customer technical teams to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
- Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation, runbooks, and deployment artifacts.
- Provide senior-level support during troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security optimization phases.
Qualifications:
Success in this role requires a blend of deep technical mastery and consulting expertise:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience specifically in firewall or network security delivery roles.
- Proven experience supporting large-scale or global enterprise firewall deployments.
- Strong understanding of VPN technologies, routing fundamentals, NAT, and high-availability (HA) architectures.
- Excellent customer-facing communication and professional consulting skills.
- Ability to manage complex technical initiatives within fast-paced, enterprise environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Platform Expertise: Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:
- Palo Alto Networks (PAN-OS, Panorama)
- Fortinet FortiGate (FortiOS, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)
- Cisco ASA / FTD, Firepower Management Center
- Cloud & Automation: Familiarity with cloud security environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and experience with automation tools or firewall policy migration platforms.
- Certifications: Relevant industry certifications such as PCNSE, NSE4/NSE5, or CCNP Security are highly preferred
