Fire Services Designer
Location: Clark, Philippines
Shift: Monday - Friday; 7:00am to 4:00pm

About the role. . .
Produce and compile fire services design drawings and documentation, ensuring all deliverables are accurate, complete, compliant, and issued in accordance with project programs. Delivery work is in line with company policies, procedures and values, with relevant information and calculations that support organization to complete the project(s). Perform at an equivalent professional and technical standard to an Australian-based Fire Services Designer, based offshore.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively promote and adhere to all policies and procedures, ensuring a safe workplace and reporting all accidents, incidents and hazards.
- Ensure all environmental compliance requirements are met and Environmental Policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Comply with company Quality Management systems, processes and procedures and participate in audits when required.
- Have a complete understanding of all organization procedures and the ability to compile submissions that are accurate, informed and complete.
- Understand the structure and meaning of the project's Design Intent documents including Specification Documentation and organization Design process.
- Produce shop/design drawings as directed by the Project Manager, Team Lead or Design Manager in accordance with the National Construction Code of Australia, all relevant Australian standards and Fire Specification and Engineering documentation.
- Prepare the initial design drawings.
- Prepare client RFIs.
- Prepare bill of materials.
- Conduct final design review.
- Complete all design deliverables including final as-built documentation.
- Monitor project correspondences, databases and processes and ensure project timelines and milestones are achieved.
- Create shop drawings and model submissions in the Autodesk Cloud system or the Procore system.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Tertiary Engineering qualification or trade certificate.
- Minimum 5 years experience in the fire services industry.
- Demonstrated experience applying Guidelines, statutory, Regulatory and Australian Standards including AS 2419, AS 2118, AS1670 and NCC in live project environments.
- Extensive experience in Fire Services design within commercial, industrial, mining, resources or construction industry.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience using Aconex, Procore, or other database/document management software.
- Knowledge in fire sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, smoke detector and EWIS system design.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic outlook.
- Excellent knowledge and experience with Autodesk Revit to produce BIM LOD 500 models.
- Proficient use of Autodesk tools and Microsoft Office packages.
- High level of computer literacy with focus on Autodesk products and Hydraulic Calculation Software.
