Job Description


The Finance & Accounting Manager is in-charge of collating and analyzing the financial reports of the PH Retail to ensure accuracy of the Financial Statements and all related schedules and reports. She/He performs regular reviews and makes recommendations to improve accounting/financial systems, and assist in special projects involving the backend support of the business and ERP implementation. He/She will assist the VP in carrying out the Financial Reporting responsibilities of the unit.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor timely and accurate submission of following financial reports :
  • Income Statement
  • Balance Sheet
  • Variance Report
  • Statement of Cash Flow
  • Monthly Business Meeting Reports
  • Store, Brand and Channel Profitability Report
  • Accounts Receivable Aging Schedule
  • Accounts Payable Ageing Report
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Inventory and IC
  • Daily. Weekly and monthly Sales Report
  • Other Balance Sheet schedules to be updated monthly
  • Other financial reports that required from time to time
  • Supervises the Financial reporting team both functionally and administratively
  • Reviews the Financial reports of each SBU and recommends adjustments to ensure accuracy of reports prior to submission to the Controllership team.
  • Coordinates with the F&A Shared services team to ensure that agreed closing activities and timelines are adhered.
  • Recommend guidelines and policies to improve operational, administrative and financial standards for PH Retail companies
  • As mandated by the VP, liaise with external auditors, corporate secretary, and other government agencies on specific tasks
  • During annual external audit, supervises the FR team to ensure audit requirements are submitted on time and agreed audit timeline are complied.
  • Closely work with the Tax team in providing them the needed tax schedules and reports.
  • Assist in the ERP implementation of PH Retail companies.
  • Assist in all special projects requiring involvement of the Financial Reporting team
  • Manages the Financial Reporting Regional outsourcing team
  • Others tasks that may be required by immediate leader.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
  • With at least 6 years experience in the same field
  • With proven competencies in the following: (Financial Reporting, Financial planning and analyses, Budgeting, Auditing, System implementation, Maturity in people management, Liaison with concerned agencies/authorities, Taxation)
  • With effective communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledgeable in preparation , review and thorough analysis of Financial Reports
  • Leadership and People handling skills
  • Preferably experienced in NetSuite and other Accounting ERP
  • Ability to liaise effectively with concerned agencies/authorities
