Role Description:

The primary responsibilities of the Financial Reporting Manager include supervision of monthly close and consolidation processes including financial accounting analysis, preparation of the parent and consolidated financial statements of ICTSI, quarterly and annual SEC filings and related earnings releases, including assistance to all reporting entities globally with respect to resolution of accounting, financial reporting, book closing and auditing issues.

He/she participates in the creation and implementation of Group accounting policies and procedures as well as policies and procedures in the consolidation process including maintenance of consolidation system in place.

This position requires coordination with our subsidiaries and associates around the globe and with other departments at the Head Office.

The Financial Reporting Manager is a key contributor to the Global Corporate Controllership Group in terms of preparing internal reports for use by Senior Management and Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and compliance with external financial reporting requirements for submission to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

I. Essential Functions:

  • Supervises the monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation process including preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements for submission to the SEC and/or Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), performance of financial accounting analysis, monitoring of intercompany balances reconciliation, review and validation of input data, processing of consolidation entries, uploading of trial balances to SAP BPC for other entities, review of certain financial transactions.
  • Reviews or leads the preparation of financial statements of entities within the Group in compliance with Group accounting and reporting policies and the Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) for entities located in the Philippines (see Annex A for the list of Philippine entities within the Group).
  • Responsible for the administration and maintenance of SAP BPC including assistance on the resolution of issues encountered in SAP BPC by the Financial Reporting team as well as subsidiaries and associates during the monthly submission of reports.
  • Assists subsidiaries and other affiliates in the resolution of technical issues, including accounting research and preparation of technical accounting memorandum.
  • Supervises the accounting operations and financial reporting of ROHQ.
  • Supervises preparation of/Maintains the books of accounts of certain companies within the Group, as needed.
  • Liaise with external auditors and requirements of other departments.
  • Assists in the preparation of budget for the department.
  • Continually reviews new accounting pronouncements and determines their effect on the Group; provides technical accounting advice, research and support ensuring the company is in compliance with the latest reporting requirements, including pronouncements from the SEC and other relevant regulatory agencies.
  • Prepares ad-hoc analyses and performs other tasks, as required by top management.
  • Participates in special projects, as needed.

II. Job Requirements and Competencies

a. Skills and Abilities:

  • Good analytical skills.
  • Considerable skill in effective verbal & written communications, including active listening skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with coworkers and external contacts, while working effectively in a team environment and demonstrating a positive and professional image.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and leadership skills

b. Knowledge and Experience:

  • High technical skills with respect to Philippine/International Financial Reporting Standard (P/IFRS).
  • 4+ years of work experience in a professional audit or work in the areas of accounting, at least 6 months experience as assistant manager or equivalent.
  • Experience with SAP systems is a plus factor.

c. Professional Qualification and Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required.

d. Working Conditions:

  • Works in an office environment.
  • Monday to Friday.
  • Generally 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
