What does this role look like for you

This role is to support respective markets in managing their Financial Operations effectively and is crucial for ensuring financial stability and supporting strategic decision-making within the organization by delivering accurate data, insightful analysis, and effective problem-solving capabilities.

Purpose of the Role:

  • Support assigned markets in end-to-end financial planning, performance management, and decision support across P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash.

  • Drive high-quality forecasting, spend governance, and performance insights by consolidating inputs, challenging assumptions, and ensuring alignment with business strategy.

  • Act as a proactive finance business partner to Marketing, CP&A, KAMs, CFM, and CR teams—providing clear narratives, identifying risks/opportunities, and improving visibility through structured reporting.

Accountabilities:

  • Performance & Spend Management: Own and analyze E2E Trade Investment and Marketing spend, validate reasonability of spending and trends, impacts of accruals (claims, phasing, adjustments) on working capital

  • Forecasting & Planning: Consolidate and challenge bottom-up inputs from budget owners, ensuring realistic, accurate forecasts with clear assumptions and risks.

  • Reporting & Insights: Deliver monthly reporting, dashboards, and clear performance narratives highlighting risks, opportunities, and key drivers. Perform variance analysis (Price, Volume, Mix, Margin, Operating Profit)

  • Financial Control & Balance Sheet: Own and manage creditors position (Trade creditors, accruals, tax etc..), review B/S reconciliations and aging of accruals in collaboration with Finance Controllers

  • Data, Systems & Governance: Maintain data integrity across systems (SAP, BW, Anaplan, etc.), including master data, mappings, internal orders, and process controls.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Corp Responsibility, In-market Finance team, and Controlling team.
  • Challenge business assumptions and provide commercially relevant financial insights
  • Support FP&A Lead in prioritization of key focus areas and business decisions
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships through high-quality, timely, and actionable outputs
  • Lead or contribute to projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure that the policies and procedures are understood and followed in the team and in the market as well.

Requirements:

  • Degree educated in finance/accounting/business or equivalent experience.
  • Proven accounting experience within a global FMCG or dynamic operating environment; shared services experience is advantageous.
  • Proven ability in:
  • Financial modelling, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Trade/Marketing spend management and accrual accounting
  • Translating data into clear business insights and storytelling
  • Advanced Excel analytical skills — ability to build, manipulate, and analyze large datasets with speed and accuracy (highquality outputs under tight timelines)
  • Proficiency in BW, SAP, PowerBI solutions; ability to address system-related challenges effectively.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills across diverse markets/cultures
  • Fluent English language skills.
