Role Overview
The FP&A Analyst will be responsible for providing financial insights, reports, and analysis that support strategic planning and operational decisions. This role involves preparing forecasts, analyzing variances, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize business performance. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, excellent attention to detail, and experience working with financial models in a multinational or shared services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning activities for assigned business units.
- Prepare monthly management reports, including variance analysis and commentary on financial performance.
- Analyze trends in revenues, costs, margins, and operational metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
- Partner with business leaders to develop financial insights that guide strategic decisions.
- Build and maintain financial models for forecasting, scenario planning, and profitability analysis.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track actual results against targets.
- Prepare presentations and dashboards for senior management and global stakeholders.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close processes by ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Collaborate with accounting and operations teams to reconcile financial results and explain variances.
- Ensure compliance with US Financial Reporting Standards (US GAAP) and internal policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
- 35 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or management reporting, preferably in a shared services or multinational environment.
- Strong understanding of financial modeling, variance analysis, and budgeting principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI, Anaplan, or SAP BPC is a plus.
- Familiarity with US GAAP and standard accounting principles.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Willing to work on a remote setup
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting regional or global FP&A teams.
- Familiarity with automation tools and data visualization platforms.
- Knowledge of cost modeling, profitability analysis, or business case development.
