Job Summary:
The Financial Controller will lead and manage the entire finance function, ensuring the organization's financial health, compliance, and operational efficiency. This role oversees accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, payroll, budgeting, providing actionable insights to the CFO and executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and manage the end-to-end finance function including accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, tax, and treasury.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support organizational growth and operational goals.
- Serve as a key strategic partner to the CFO, providing insights and recommendations on financial performance, risk management, and investment decisions.
Accounting & Reporting
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
- Oversee consolidation of multi-entity financial statements, ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and statutory regulations.
- Drive process improvements and automation in reporting using ERP and BI tools (e.g., Anaplan, Power BI, SAP, Oracle).
Tax & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local taxation laws and statutory requirements.
- Manage tax filings, audits, and coordination with external advisors.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls across all finance operations.
Operational Collaboration
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, and HR to align financial planning with business strategies.
- Provide financial guidance for pricing, store expansions, and investment initiatives.
- Support cross-functional teams in understanding financial impacts of operational decisions.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance objectives for finance staff.
- Ensure high engagement and retention within the finance function.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred). MBA is a plus.
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial or head-level role.
- Proven experience in F&B, Hospitality, or Retail is highly preferred.
- Deep expertise in financial management, accounting, budgeting, tax compliance, and ERP/BI systems.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
