Job Summary

The Finance Controller is responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and ensuring compliance with applicable Philippine regulations and accounting standards. The role manages accounting activities, financial analysis, budgeting, and supports strategic financial decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • At least 5 years of relevant finance or accounting experience, with 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of **Philippine Financial Reporting Standards and Philippine tax regulations.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting and Accounting

  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
  • Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, and closing processes.

2. Budgeting and Financial Planning

  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor financial performance against budget and analyze variances.
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic planning and decision-making.

3. Internal Controls and Risk Management

  • Develop and maintain effective internal control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures.
  • Identify financial risks and implement mitigation measures.

4. Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Philippine regulatory requirements including filings with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and other relevant agencies.
  • Oversee tax planning, reporting, and statutory compliance.

5. Audit and External Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
  • Ensure timely resolution of audit findings and recommendations.

6. Cash Flow and Treasury Management

  • Monitor cash flow and liquidity requirements.
  • Oversee banking relationships and treasury activities.
  • Manage working capital and optimize cash utilization.

7. Process Improvement

  • Implement improvements in financial processes and systems.
  • Support digitalization and automation of finance operations where applicable.
