PURPOSE
The Financial and Accounting Reporting Manager (Consolidation) is responsible for overseeing the consolidation of financial statements across multiple entities within an organization. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant consolidated reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., PFRS, PH GAAP, JGAAP, other applicable), while supporting strategic financial analysis and regulatory requirements.
FINANCIAL CONSOLIDATION & REPORTING
- Lead the monthly, annual, and other period (as applicable) financial consolidation process.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, and statement of equity.
- Review and eliminate intercompany transactions and balances.
- Ensure accuracy of foreign currency translations and minority interest calculations.
- Maintain consolidation systems and reporting tools.
COMPLIANCE & TECHNICAL ACCOUNTING
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards
- Interpret and apply new accounting standards impacting group reporting as applicable.
- Support external audits by providing documentation and analysis.
- Maintain accounting policies and procedures for group reporting.
LEADERSHIP & COLLABORATION
- Manage and mentor consolidation team members.
- Coordinate with accounting & finance teams to ensure timely reporting.
- Provide training on consolidation policies and procedures for improvements as necessary.
ANALYSIS AND DECISION SUPPORT
- Perform variance analysis and explain key drivers of financial results.
- Identify and implement improvements in consolidation processes
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or equivalent professional designation preferred
- 5 years of experience in a financial reporting supervisory role (or 2 years managerial status)
- Strong experience with multi-entity consolidations
- Working knowledge of PFRS, PH GAAP, JGAAP. (and other applicable)
- Experience coordinating with external auditors
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, including audit partners and subsidiary CFOs
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and attention to detail
- Willing to work onsite every day at Makati City.
