Job Description
The Financial Analyst is responsible for delivering high-quality financial insights that support strategic and operational decision-making. The role involves preparing and analysing financial reports, developing forecasts and budgets, and contributing to strategic planning initiatives. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Financial Analyst will evaluate business performance, identify key trends, and provide actionable recommendations to optimise financial outcomes and support sustainable growth.
This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
oPrepare consolidated financial reporting packs and site-level reports, including variance analysis, financial statements, and management commentary.
o Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to inform executive management and stakeholders.
oAnalyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities.
oMaintain and update the bonus and commission attainment schedules across all staff.
oDevelop and maintain dynamic financial models to support scenario analysis, business cases, and investment evaluations.
oAssist in the preparation of financial data required for compliance with banking covenants and other external reporting obligations.
Budgeting, Forecasting and Performance Analysis
oSupport the annual budget cycle, periodic re-forecasting, and long-range financial planning and updating the relevant ERPs
oMonitor performance against budget, analyse variances, and provide recommendations for corrective action
oAssist the CFO in developing strategic financial models and scenario-based planning tools
Collaboration and Business Support:
oWork collaboratively with finance, operations, and other functional teams to gather data, develop insights, and enhance decision support
oProvide analytical and financial support for strategic initiatives, capital expenditure proposals, and operational improvement projects
oContribute to process improvements and the development of financial tools, dashboards, and reporting templates
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent preferred).
Experience in a Financial Analyst, FP&A, or similar analytical role
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with demonstrated ability to interpret complex financial data
Proficiency in accounting and dealership management systems (DMS), and advanced MS Excel skills
Experience with Power BI or equivalent data visualisation tools, with the ability to create interactive dashboards
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight reporting deadlines
