The Financial Analyst will work both collaboratively and independently in support of Certara's Corporate FP&A function by maintaining established FP&A related data and metrics.
Responsibilities
- Prepare weekly Presidents/ELT presentation with bookings update
- Update database and reports with actual financial results after month end close
- Consolidate monthly commentary and variance analysis from Division Finance, and analyze financial results and risks
- Support strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
- Assist FP&A team in reporting enhancements: build and automate reports that collect and connect data from multiple business systems
- Perform ad hoc analyses, and work with other business units on corporate initiatives
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
- 1 -2 years of professional relevant experience
- High level of proficiency with Excel required
- Understanding of financial accounting, financial statements and finance preferred
- Motivated to continuously improving the utility of reports and automating reporting processes
The Ideal Candidate:
- Systems proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint (and exposure to MS Teams and SharePoint)
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-motivated and solution driven
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated budgeting and forecasting experience
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Comfortable producing a wide range of analyses and reports in a deadline-driven environment
