The Role

We're seeking a Financial Analyst. This role is designed for a detail-oriented and analytical professional who thrives in financial modeling, performance analysis, and strategic advisory environments.

You'll play a key role in building financial models, analyzing business performance, and preparing actionable insights that directly support strategic decision-making for growing businesses.

Location: Must be in Colombia Remote.

Environment: Colombian and International Teams.

Language: Advanced English (B2+ - C1).

Timezone: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.

Contract: Non-fixed Term Colombian Contract.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience in financial analysis or advisory work.
  • Experience: 25 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, consulting, investment banking, or a related role.
  • Skills: Strong financial modeling skills; advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets; solid understanding of financial statements, cash flow management, and forecasting; ability to work with incomplete or evolving data sets; strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Characteristics: High attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture; analytical and proactive mindset; strong problem-solving skills; comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; curious and oriented toward continuous improvement.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in a fractional CFO firm, advisory practice, or professional services environment
  • Exposure to SMB or founder-led businesses
  • Experience preparing client-facing presentations or executive summaries
  • High attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture
  • Curiosity and a mindset oriented toward problem-solving and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Modeling

  • Build and maintain financial models including:
    • Cash flow forecasts
    • Budgets and reforecasts
    • Scenario and sensitivity analyses
  • Analyze historical financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Support pricing, profitability, and unit economics analysis
  • Assist with long-range financial planning and strategic modeling
Client & Advisory Support

  • Prepare client-ready financial reports, dashboards, and presentations
  • Translate complex financial data into clear insights and recommendations
  • Support CFO advisors in client meetings through analysis, materials, and follow-up
  • Assist with data gathering and validation from client accounting systems

Reporting & Systems

  • Work with data from tools such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting platforms
  • Help improve reporting processes, templates, and internal financial frameworks
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity across all financial deliverables

Internal Support

  • Assist with internal financial analysis for the CFO as needed
  • Contribute to documentation of best practices, models, and repeatable workflows
  • Support ad hoc analytical projects as client needs evolve
