Job Description

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure timely posting of journal entries.
Monitor project-level financial performance and reconcile project expenses, revenues, and capitalized costs.
Oversee accounting for assets related to renewable energy projects, including depreciation, amortization, and component-based asset tracking.
Support preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
Analyze variances between actuals vs. budget to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Provide financial analysis for new renewable energy projects, including cost modeling, ROI, and funding requirements
Assist with cash flow forecasting and monitoring.
Manage project-based accounting for construction, EPC activities, and O&M operations.
Track CAPEX and OPEX across renewable energy projects and reconcile with procurement and project management teams.
Ensure accurate cost allocation, WIP monitoring, and timely project financial closure.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Support external and internal audit processes by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses.
Monitor tax compliance, including VAT, corporate income tax, and tax incentives applicable to renewable energy projects.
Maintain accurate financial records using ERP or accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks).
Recommend process improvements to strengthen financial controls and increase efficiency.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions.
