Responsible for managing statutory audit requirements and supporting financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. The role involves coordinating with auditors and cross-functional finance teams, maintaining strong internal controls, and driving process improvements across accounting and reporting functions.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and support statutory and tax audits, including planning, documentation, and timeline management
- Act as the main point of contact for external auditors on audit requirements and deliverables
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of audit reports and financial documentation
- Reconcile and analyze differences between statutory and IFRS reporting
- Manage month-end close processes, including P&L ownership, balance sheet analysis, and reconciliations
- Prepare and review accounting entries in compliance with applicable standards
- Maintain organized financial records, working papers, and documentation
- Collaborate with finance teams (e.g., AR/AP) to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Perform balance sheet reviews and validate supporting schedules
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting quality
- Stay updated on regulatory changes impacting financial reporting
- Address stakeholder queries and provide financial insights as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA required; additional certifications (e.g., CFA, CMA) are an advantage
- 6–7 years of experience in statutory audit, financial reporting, or accounting, with management reporting exposure
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
