About the Role:

The Finance Shared Services Manager is responsible for managing and optimising the end to-end processes within certain shared services functions at Ochre Health, specifically Collections (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and other transactional services. The role ensures timely, accurate, and compliant financial operations, drives process improvements, and provides leadership and support to the shared services function. The role will focus on building internal controls and processes to ensure these functions support the Finance Team and wider business as a whole.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable (AR):

  • Directly manage current team of 2 Accounts Receivable Officers. Recruit, onboard, train, and manage a team of offshore staff.
  • Manage existing team, in multiple geographies.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate processing of invoices and collection of payments for the Ochre Health Group.
  • Oversight of shared mailbox, and responding to questions accordingly.
  • Review and streamline processes and system integrations.
  • Monitor AR aging reports and ensure effective follow-up on overdue accounts.
  • Implement strategies to optimize cash flow.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers.

Accounts Payable (AP):

  • Directly manage current team of 2 Accounts Payable Officers, with possibility of expansion offshore
  • Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Review all payment listings and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
  • Administer and review Corporate Credit cards, including process improvement for expense management and credit card facilities.
  • Coordinate month-end AP reconciliations and reporting.
  • Assist with preparation of regulated Payment Times Reporting.
  • Maintain master vendor listing to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Project Support:

  • Ad hoc project work as required, including but not limited to; support, data entry, data cleansing, and validation during the roll out of the new Ochre Health Finance ERP.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals across AR, AP, and other transactional areas.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high performance.
  • Ensure adequate staffing, training, and succession planning for the shared services function.

Process Improvement and Compliance:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance automation, and improve efficiency.
  • Develop and enhance internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal requirements.
  • Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and KPIs to senior management.
  • Develop and maintain process documents for AR, AP and other transactional areas.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) preferred.
  • Minimum 57 years of experience in finance shared services or similar roles, with proven experience in AR, AP, and payroll/disbursements.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (Navision/Business Central) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Working knowledge with Salesforce CRM.
