The Financial Reporting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end financial reporting process, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with regulatory and accounting standards. This role manages the monthly and quarterly close processes, maintains the integrity of the general ledger, and supports management through reliable financial reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the preparation of financial reports and earnings statements by gathering, documenting, and validating data, and reviewing outputs for regulatory compliance.
- Oversee the preparation and distribution of internal financial statements and management reports, ensuring high levels of accuracy, reliability, and quality.
- Manage the monthly closing process, including account reconciliations and analysis of related balances.
- Standardize financial reporting processes while continuously identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline workflows.
- Prepare and review quarterly financial statements and regulatory filings.
- Research and resolve accounting issues, including evaluating and implementing new accounting pronouncements to ensure compliance with US GAAP, IAS, and SEC reporting requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the Accounting Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure effective, compliant, and timely financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Work Experience & Skills:
- 3–5 years of experience in financial reporting or a similar role
- Strong expertise in financial reporting within a finance or accounting environment
- Solid understanding of SEC reporting principles
- Experience using accounting systems such as NAV and other cloud-based ERP platforms
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and strong working knowledge of other MS Office tools
- Preferably with experience in a shared services environment, covering one or more of the following industries: Food & Beverage, Restaurant Chains, or Contract-Based Services
