Finance Operations Senior Manager

JOB SUMMARY

The Finance Operations Senior Manager is responsible for managing and monitoring the financial activities to ensure accurate accounting, strong financial controls, timely reporting, and efficient daily operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Operations

• Monitor daily financial transactions and ensure accurate recording in the accounting system.
• Review daily revenue, payments, deposits, and financial reports.
• Ensure proper posting and reconciliation of room, food & beverage, and other hotel revenues.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
• Ensure that all revenue is properly accounted for and deposited.
• Identify irregularities, errors, or potential revenue leakage and report them to management
• Maintain proper segregation of duties and financial controls.
• Assist with internal and external audits.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare financial schedules, reconciliations, and supporting reports.
• Provide management with financial information and analysis to support decision-making.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Inventory & Cost Control

• Assist with monitoring food, beverage, and operating supply costs.
• Review inventory movements, stock counts, wastage, and variances.
• Work with Purchasing and Operations to control expenses and improve profitability.
• Analyze departmental expenses against budgets and prior periods.
• Ensure the completeness of merchandise inventory and other assets

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; CPA is an advantage.
• 8–10+ years of progressive Finance/Accounting experience, with 3–5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of financial controls, revenue reconciliation, audit, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Experience with hotel/resort finance operations, fixed assets and high-volume transactions is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work closely with Operations, F&B, Purchasing, and senior management to improve financial performance and profitability.
