FINANCE MANAGER

Location: Manila, Philippines

Work Arrangement: Onsite, Full-time

Shift: Monday–Friday | 9:00 PM–6:00 AM PHT

We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Finance Manager to oversee the day-to-day financial administration of a professional services firm. In this role, you will work closely with Directors and Managers to ensure accurate financial reporting, effective cash flow management, payroll processing, compliance, budgeting, and continuous improvement of financial processes.

YOUR IMPACT

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee the financial administration of the firm, including bookkeeping, billing, bank reconciliations, debt recovery, and creditor payments.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and comprehensive monthly reporting packs.
  • Manage fixed-fee billing, debtor statements, collections, and credit control.
  • Assist with the preparation of the firm's annual budget and employee budget.
  • Manage cash flow and banking activities, including checking and processing payments.
  • Prepare year-end financial statements and supporting working papers.
  • Perform General Ledger reconciliations and ensure financial records are accurate and complete.
  • Maintain strict adherence to the internal Finance Calendar and reporting deadlines.

Payroll Management

  • Process monthly payroll for employees and Directors.
  • Manage PAYG and superannuation compliance requirements.
  • Prepare payroll tax reconciliations and monitor employee leave entitlements.
  • Work closely with HR on employee onboarding and offboarding through HR and payroll platforms.
  • Ensure payroll processes are accurate, timely, and compliant with applicable requirements.

Compliance & Business Reporting

  • Ensure registrations, subscriptions, memberships, and insurance requirements remain current.
  • Support the Directors in professional indemnity insurance and other insurance renewals.
  • Prepare regular financial and operational reports, including cash flow, management reporting, employee productivity, unsubmitted timesheets, and bank covenant reporting.
  • Assist with annual insurance reviews and coordinate required documentation with insurance brokers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and internal procedures.
  • Handle ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and administrative requirements as needed.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • The Experience: Demonstrated experience managing the financial function within a corporate environment. Experience within the accounting or professional services industry is highly advantageous.
  • Financial Expertise: Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, billing, reconciliations, management accounts, cash flow, credit control, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Payroll Knowledge: Previous experience processing payroll using an online payroll system, with knowledge of PAYG, superannuation, and payroll compliance requirements.
  • Systems Proficiency: Good working knowledge of MYOB AE, Xero, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and Adobe Acrobat/Nitro PDF.
  • Australian Finance Knowledge: Familiarity with ATO and STP requirements is highly advantageous. Experience with Employment Innovations and Employment Hero is a plus.
  • Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Highly organized, accurate, logical, and capable of managing multiple priorities while meeting strict financial deadlines.
  • Communication & Professionalism: Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the confidence to work closely with Directors, Managers, HR, and other stakeholders.
  • Ownership & Initiative: Responsible and accountable for the quality and timeliness of work, with sound judgment, flexibility, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
