FINANCE LEAD
Responsibilities
Provide financial oversight for the organization and be responsible for the entire range of financial management, from daily operations to high-level management including but not limited to the following:
- Lead the Finance team composing of himself/herself, one Accounting Specialist, and one Cashier
- Analyze and prepare financial data and period reports as required by the Board of Trustees, partners, and government organizations and agencies
- Oversee and co-lead the annual budgeting and planning process, reviewing financial feasibility of plans and budgets, considering both funding and spending requirements
- Partner with Program Directors and the ED in regularly monitoring the inflow and outflow of funds to ensure continuity of operations
- Ensure proper accounting procedures and controls are followed and recommend improvements as needed
- Coordinate with external partners for financial concerns and requirements (e.g. external auditors, BIR, government agencies)
- Approve fund requests, liquidations, and reimbursements of programs based on plans, with flexibility based on current financial status
- Lead the processing of tax and other external reportorial requirements and concerns
- Help process online payments to government agencies
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of BS Accountancy; CPA is a plus
- Finance and Accounting Expertise: At least 1 year of significant experience in end-to-end accounting process, financial management, financial reporting (both internal and external), and regulatory compliance with similar entities.
- Industry Experience: Background in similar industry (non-stock non-profit) is preferred
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a team effectively and foster a collaborative and supportive work environment. Experience in supervising and mentoring staff members, delegating tasks, and promoting professional growth and development.
- Technological Proficiency: Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
