Role Description:

The Finance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Lucena City, Quezon Province, Philippines, responsible for overseeing the financial operations of Carlos SuperDrug. This role manages budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of management reports, financial statements, and performance analyses. The Finance Manager monitors cash flow, controls expenses, and supports inventory and cost management to optimize profitability. Daily responsibilities include supervising accounting processes, reviewing reconciliations, ensuring compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements, and coordinating with external auditors and banks. The role also involves partnering with operations and leadership to provide financial insights, support strategic decisions, and implement internal controls and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, with the ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and preparation of financial statements, preferably with experience in retail or consumer goods.
  • Experience with cash flow management, cost control, and inventory or margin analysis to support profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Knowledge of Philippine tax regulations, compliance requirements, and coordination with auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Comfort with using accounting software and spreadsheets, and the ability to improve financial processes and controls.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in financial work.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally with operations, management, and external partners.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is an advantage.
  • Relevant experience in a finance or accounting management role, ideally in a multi-branch retail or pharmacy environment.
