Job Summary
The Accounting & Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations,
ensuring compliance with Philippine Accounting Standards (PAS), and Philippine Financial Reporting
Standards (PFRS) and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) regulations. This role leads the budgeting,
forecasting, and audit processes, while providing strategic financial insights to support business
growth. The manager will also mentor the accounting team and collaborate with stakeholders to
strengthen financial accountability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Operations & Reporting
- Supervise daily accounting functions (AP, AR, GL, financial reporting).
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in
compliance with PFRS.
- Ensure timely submission of tax filings and regulatory reports.
- Policy & Compliance
- Develop and implement accounting policies aligned with PAS, PFRS, and BIR
regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in Philippine tax laws and accounting standards.
- Oversee external audits with Philippine auditing firms.
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the design and implementation of a comprehensive budget management
system.
- Collaborate with department heads to prepare realistic budgets aligned with
strategic goals.
- Monitor budget performance using KPIs, report variances, and recommend
corrective actions.
- Implement forecasting models to guide strategic decision-making.
- Leadership & Team Development
- Manage and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and
continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships with auditors, banks, and investors.
- Strategic Financial Management
- Provide financial insights and reports to senior management and the board of
directors.
