About the Role

We're looking for a Finance Manager who wants more than just closing books and filing reports. This role is for someone who enjoys building structure, partnering with founders, and using numbers to steer real decisions.

You'll own financial planning and analysis, cash flow management, and overall financial strategy for the company. Day-to-day bookkeeping and statutory filings are handled by an external accountant your job is to make sense of the numbers, challenge the business, and help us grow profitably.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Finance & Planning

  • Develop and execute financial strategies that support the company's growth and profitability goals.
  • Build financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses for new initiatives, pricing, hiring, and investments.
  • Provide clear, actionable insights on project and overall profitability, cost management, and capital allocation.

2. Budgeting & Performance Management

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and align budgets with business priorities.
  • Track performance vs. budget and targets; analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain rolling forecasts so the leadership team always has a forward-looking view.

3. Cash Flow & Risk Management

  • Own cash flow planning, working capital management, and liquidity.
  • Maintain and develop banking relationships; evaluate financing options when needed.
  • Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.

4. Accounting Oversight & Compliance

  • Work closely with the Admin Head and our external accountant to ensure accurate financial records and on-time filings.
  • Oversee compliance with Philippine tax, regulatory, and reporting requirements.
  • Review financial statements and recommend improvements in reporting, controls, and processes.

5. Leadership & Collaboration

  • Act as a strategic partner to senior management and department heads.
  • Translate financial data into simple, practical recommendations for non-finance colleagues.
  • Promote financial discipline and awareness across the company (e.g., project reviews, margin analysis, cost control).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in financial management, FP&A, strategic finance, or business analysis.
  • CPA is a strong advantage but not strictly required if experience is solid.
  • Proven experience building budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
  • Working knowledge of Philippine taxation and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High integrity, sense of ownership, and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a growing company environment where systems are still being improved and you can leave your mark.
