Department: Finance & Accounting

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Finance Director APAC

As we scale our operations in the Philippines including licensing support, agent network finance, and regulatory reporting we seek a strategic, detail-oriented Finance Manager to ensure financial integrity, operational efficiency, and forward-looking insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end finance operations for the Philippines entity: budgeting, forecasting, monthly/quarterly closing, management reporting, and KPI tracking
  • Ensure full compliance with Philippine accounting standards (PFRS), BIR tax regulations (VAT, withholding tax, income tax), SEC filing requirements, and internal controls
  • Manage relationships with local auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory bodies (e.g., BSP for e-money reporting)
  • Oversee accounts payable/receivable, treasury functions (including FX exposure monitoring), and cost optimization initiatives
  • Partner closely with HR, Operations, and Product teams to analyze financial impact of business decisions (e.g., agent incentives, pricing models, expansion plans)
  • Design and implement scalable financial processes aligned with global PalmPay policies and local realities
  • Prepare board-level financial dashboards and actionable insights for leadership decision-making

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA (Philippines) required. MBA or ACCA/CMA preferred
  • Experience: Minimum 6 years in progressive finance roles at least 3 years in a managerial capacity within fintech, banking, or regulated financial services. Experience supporting multi-country operations is highly valued
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel; ERP experience (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite); familiarity with local tax software (e.g., Taxumo, eBIRForms); working knowledge of IFRS/PFRS and BSP circulars
  • Soft Skills: Strong business partnering mindset, bilingual fluency (English + Tagalog), excellent communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders, proactive problem-solver
  • Mindset: Integrity-driven, adaptable to rapid change, comfortable operating in ambiguity, and passionate about financial inclusion
