Job Summary:
Responsible for the entire finance and accounting function which includes but is not limited to: record to report, procure to pay, funds management, payroll, budgets and forecast, internal controls, compliance, and dealing and maintaining with external parties such as auditors, regulators, vendors, and bank partners.
Responsibilities:
- GL management, month-end close, financial statement preparation and reporting and filing with the relevant regulators.
- Daily cash position and funds management
- Ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements, tax management, and tax planning
- Preparation of budget and forecasts.
- Maintain controls to ensure reliability of financial records through account reconciliations and reviews, and safeguarding of company assets.
- Leads and delivers on Audit and Compliance objectives.
- Sets targets for improvement in all key operational areas e.g. Financial Reporting and Analysis, Forecasting, Funds Management, Currency Exposure, Days to Close, Payroll processes, Fixed Asset validation, etc.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders (auditors, PEZA, BIR, banks).
- Preferably with experience in start-ups and designing/establishing finance and accounting processes and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills Requirements:
- 3- 5 years of experience in a relevant financial position including 3 or more years of experience in a supervisory or management role within an accounting department.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree, First Degree, Trade/Vocational School certificate or Equivalent required. Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field preferred.
