The Role
We're looking for a practical, detail-oriented Finance Manager / Finance Lead to oversee the day-to-day finance function across our group of operating entities.
You'll manage the recurring accounting and finance cycle, review the work of the finance team, maintain financial controls, and ensure Management has reliable financial information for decision-making.
This is a hands-on finance role. You'll work closely with our accounting team, outsourced tax providers, Operations, and Technology teams to keep financial records accurate, processes organized, and reporting delivered on time.
What you'll do
• Oversee the monthly accounting close across group entities, including review of P&L, balance sheet, bank reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Prepare and maintain the company's working budget and rolling financial forecast
• Review outgoing payments and supporting documents before endorsement to authorized signatories
• Manage and coach the finance team and ensure recurring accounting tasks are completed accurately and on schedule
• Coordinate with our outsourced Philippine tax provider for monthly and quarterly BIR requirements, including VAT, withholding tax, service invoices, and other compliance requirements
• Coordinate with our Singapore bookkeeper for financial statements, tax requirements, and intercompany transactions
• Maintain QuickBooks and Xero as reliable sources of financial information
• Review accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections, cash flow, and other key finance schedules
• Work with Operations and Technology on reconciliation of data across CRM, order-management, payment, and finance systems
• Manage month-end intercompany billing and service-invoice requirements
• Prepare financial reports, schedules, and analysis for Management
• Support the CEO and Management in preparing financial information for board and investor reporting
• Identify gaps in finance processes and implement practical controls and improvements
• Support annual audit, tax, and other regulatory requirements as needed
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA preferred, but strong relevant finance and accounting experience may also be considered
• Around 4–6+ years of relevant accounting or finance experience, including experience reviewing or supervising accounting work
• Strong understanding of Philippine accounting and tax requirements, including BIR filings, VAT, withholding tax, invoicing, and reconciliations
• Experience managing month-end close and preparing financial statements and management reports
• Comfortable working with multiple entities and intercompany transactions
• Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills, including financial modelling and reconciliation
• Comfortable reviewing payment documentation and enforcing finance controls
• Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple recurring deadlines
• Practical and calm under pressure, with strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Comfortable using AI tools such as Claude and/or ChatGPT for research, drafting, spreadsheet formulas, reconciliation, and productivity tasks
Nice to have
• Experience working with a Singapore or other overseas entity
• Familiarity with USD transactions, foreign currency, and FX reconciliation
• Experience in regulated healthcare, pharma, or direct-to-consumer e-commerce
• Startup or scale-up experience
• Experience with QuickBooks and/or Xero
• Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or order-management systems
• Previous experience managing or mentoring junior finance team members
