Job Summary
The Finance Head is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and ensuring the companys financial health and sustainability. This role oversees financial planning, budgeting, accounting, treasury, taxation, and compliance functions, while supporting business decisions through accurate financial analysis and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the companys short- and long-term business objectives.
- Act as a key advisor to top management on financial performance, investments, cost management, and risk mitigation.
- Lead and develop the Finance team, ensuring clear roles, accountability, and continuous capability building.
- Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
- Monitor financial performance versus budget and provide timely variance analysis and recommendations.
- Provide financial models and business cases to support strategic initiatives and capital expenditures.
- Ensure accurate, complete, and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls and financial policies.
- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; CPA is required.
- Masters degree in Business Administration or Finance is an advantage.
- At least 810 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or audit, with at least 35 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
