Finance Business Partner (Business Finance Controller)
The Business Finance Controller (BFC) acts as a trusted finance partner to organization's leadership, ensuring strong controllership over all hub costs, accurate cost-to-serve visibility, and full recharge/assignment of costs to internal service customers (Horizon and statutory requirements).
The role supports the organization in maintaining financial discipline, executing group strategies, and upholding governance and internal controls. It is responsible for planning, forecasting, financial analysis, cost monitoring, and providing business insights to help the Global Hub achieve budget expectations and operational efficiency.
About the Role
The Business Finance Controller (BFC) for the Global Hub acts as a trusted finance partner to hub leadership, ensuring strong controllership over all hub costs, accurate cost-to-serve visibility, and full recharge/assignment of costs to internal service customers (Horizon and statutory requirements).
Responsibilities:
Controllership, Closing & Cost Governance
- Oversee accurate period-end closing, ensuring quality in accruals, provisions, and cross-entity charging accuracy.
- Ensure 100% recharge and accurate assignment of organization/group costs to service customers based on approved cost allocation methodologies.
- Monitor, challenge, and correct cost details across supported organizations to ensure alignment with budget and proper cost ownership.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting processes, including month-end reviews and audit trails.
- Uphold internal controls and compliance with Group IC policies, ensuring risks are identified and mitigated.
Reporting, Analysis & Business Insight
- Analyze actual performance with business insight.
- Provide visibility on productivity, operational KPIs, and impact on the hub's managed P&L.
- Monitor productivity, cost efficiency, and working capital indicators.
- Monitor in-month performance versus forecast and alert stakeholders.
Planning, Forecasting & Budgeting
- Contribute to Target, Budget, and Forecast processes with financial analysis and insights.
- Drive planning and forecasting with clear audit trails and business rationale.
- Assist in cascading targets and forecasts.
Strategic & Operational Finance Support
- Support execution of group strategies, transformation, standardization, and efficiency initiatives.
- Provide financial expertise to support decision-making.
- Challenge resource allocation and support efficiency improvements.
- Support KPI setting and strategic planning.
Digitalization, Tools & Process Improvement
- Leverage digital tools and analytics.
- Drive process improvement, standardization, and adoption of corporate tools.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Engage with hub leadership and cost center managers to ensure alignment.
- Foster collaboration and a culture of financial discipline.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; strong P&L and reporting knowledge.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical ability and experience managing large datasets.
- Experience with Oracle/SAP ERP, EPM, and Microsoft tools.
- Experience handling a Shared Services Center Organization is a plus
- Strong business partnering experience, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Business Leaders and provide actionable financial insights and control to support decisionmaking.
