Job Purpose and Objectives:
The Finance Business Partner for Infrastructure Businesses acts as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to the business units focusing on infrastructures, providing financial analysis and insights to drive financial performance and support the achievement of strategic goals.
Job Responsibilities and Tasks:
Business Partnering
- Drives structured performance meetings with key stakeholders to ensure constant alignment with current performance vs targets, forecasts being carried out balancing risks and opportunities as well as timely escalation of issues/ risks for proper mitigation
- Partners with Procurement, Commercial and Operations teams in developing the overall strategy for the function driving value creation
- Acts as Bids and Awards Committee Chairman for major procurement items within the business units in scope
- Works with the management of joint venture entities, as applicable, to ensure the business unit meets its financial objectives
Financial Planning and Analysis
- Prepares the operating business plans together with the Business Unit Heads and leads work efforts related to the financial forecasts and overall budget to ensure profitability standards are met and internal financial controls are in place
- Reviews monthly management reports, KPIs, variance analysis against budgets and forecasts and product costing
- Monitors financial performance and proactively identify risks, opportunities, and improvement areas.
- Conducts financial modelling and analysis to support business cases and strategic initiatives
Control and Governance
- Promotes best practices in financial management, controls, and reporting
- Ensures compliance with internal policies, as aligned with approved Governance policies, accounting standards, and other regulatory guidelines
- Oversees external audit of entities in scope
Stakeholder Management
- Builds strong relationships with the business units in scope, ensuring financial information is clearly communicated and understood
- Present financial insights and recommendations to non-finance stakeholders in a clear, actionable manner
People Management & Development
- Leads, mentors and develops a high-performing team
- Drives a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and operational excellence
- Implements workforce planning strategies to ensure optimal resource utilization
Job Specifications:
- Accounting or finance graduate or any related business course; MBA is an advantage
- CPA, CFA, and/or CMA is an advantage
- At least 8 years managerial experience in finance/accounting, finance business partnering or financial analysis specifically from organizations within the infrastructure sector
- Has experience using an ERP and Microsoft Office
- In depth in finance, accounting processes & control principle in a manufacturing / supply chain set-up; ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports.
- Well-versed in Philippine Financial Reporting Standard (PFRS), statutory reporting and tax compliances.
