Role Summary
The Finance Generalist Associate will support day-to-day finance, accounting, compliance, and reporting functions of the company. This role is hands-on and suited for an early-stage environment, requiring strong execution, attention to detail, and coordination with external accountants, auditors, banks, and government agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Maintain accurate books of accounts (e.g., Zoho Books ).
- Record AP, AR, expenses, assets, and bank transactions.
- Prepare monthly closing schedules and reconciliations (bank, cash, payables, receivables).
- Track fixed assets and depreciation.
Tax & Statutory Compliance
- Support preparation and filing of BIR returns (VAT/Percentage Tax, Withholding Tax, Income Tax).
- Coordinate with external tax consultants/accountants.
- Maintain BIR, LGU, and other regulatory compliance documentation.
- Track deadlines and ensure on-time filings.
Payroll & Benefits Support
- Process payroll computations and coordinate with HR.
- Support SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG remittances and reporting.
- Assist with employee reimbursements and allowances.
Cashflow & Financial Reporting
- Maintain cashflow tracker and weekly cash position report.
- Prepare basic financial reports (P&L, cashflow, budget vs actual).
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Vendor, Bank & Admin Coordination
- Process vendor payments and manage payment schedules.
- Coordinate with banks for account opening, online banking, and transactions.
- Support audit requests and documentation.
Operational Finance Support
- Track center-level costs and unit economics (per dialysis session / center).
- Support capex tracking for fit-outs, equipment, and facilities.
- Maintain proper documentation for expenses and assets.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Management Accounting, or related field.
- 13 years of experience in accounting/finance role (startup or SME preferred).
- Healthcare Industry Experience is a big plus.
Skills & Competencies
- Working knowledge of Philippine tax and statutory requirements (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
- Comfortable with accounting software (Zoho Books / QuickBooks / Xero preferred).
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Good coordination and documentation skills.
