Finance Analyst

Hiring Company Overview:

Tierra Verdosa Services Corp. (TVSC), a wholly owned subsidiary of San Miguel Properties, Inc. (SMPI), was established to handle all the land acquisition and consolidation requirements of the other business units within the San Miguel Group of Companies.

The Finance Analyst is tasked to analyze current and past financial data and performance, prepare financial reports and projections based on analysis, evaluate current capital expenditures, identify trends in financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze general ledger accounts, check discrepancies if any, and provide resolutions immediately.
• Prepare and review assigned schedules in a timely manner to support financial reports either monthly, quarterly, or annually as needed to analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accurate posting of financial information and proposing corrections to generate ledger, as necessary.
• Support the annual audit process by preparing relevant schedules and documentation.
• Prepares ad hoc reports and analyses as required.
• Perform in-depth analysis of financial data and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
• Monthly financial statement variance analysis and accruals.
• Prepare reconciliations for a number of general ledger accounts.
• Ensure compliance with SMC closing schedules and submit all required reports.
• Streamlines accounting and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
• Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage
• Knowledgeable in using Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and with background in finance software, preferably SAP HANA.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Well-organized with excellent time management skills.
