Finance Accounting Manager
About the Role
The Finance Accounting Manager will lead the finance function supporting the Domestic Sales team, partnering closely with commercial and field sales teams to drive financial performance, effective resource allocation, and profitable business growth.
The role oversees budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis, sales-related accounting activities, and management reporting. Beyond financial stewardship, the Finance & Accounting Manager serves as a strategic business partner to Sales, providing insights and recommendations that support decision-making, improve profitability, and strengthen financial discipline across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the management of the Corporate Selling Expense Budget, ensuring effective allocation and utilization of financial resources.
- Direct the preparation, cascade, monitoring, and management of budgets and forecasts for the Domestic Sales organization.
- Partner with Sales leaders and field teams to identify opportunities to improve profitability, manage costs, and achieve Cost-to-Sales targets.
- Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support commercial and business decisions.
- Prepare and review management reports, financial performance reports, and budget variance analyses, translating financial data into actionable business insights.
- Monitor sales-related financial activities, including trade investments, selling expenses, and accounts receivable, and drive initiatives to improve financial performance and working capital.
- Collaborate with field sales teams to identify and reduce non-value-adding activities and strengthen financial processes and controls.
- Act as a key finance business partner to Sales, building strong relationships with stakeholders and providing guidance on financial implications of business initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional discussions to resolve financial and operational issues and drive timely implementation of solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, systems, and ways of working to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead and develop the Sales Finance team, providing direction, coaching, performance management, and opportunities for professional growth.
- Drive organizational and process improvement initiatives that strengthen the finance function and support evolving business needs.
- Facilitate problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives, including the development and implementation of new approaches, systems, and processes.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; CPA is preferred.
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, controllership, FP&A, sales finance, or related functions.
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and management reporting.
- Demonstrated experience in business partnering, preferably supporting Sales, Commercial, or other customer-facing functions.
- Strong people leadership and experience managing, developing, and coaching teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate financial information into clear business insights.
- Proficiency in financial systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in FMCG, consumer goods, retail, or other fast-moving commercial environments is an advantage.
