We are looking for an Associate Merchandise Manager to join our team and play a crucial role in driving sales, optimizing inventory, and enhancing the online shopping experience for customers. This role will combine fashion expertise with data-driven insights to make strategic decisions that contribute to the success of the e-commerce business.
Responsibilities- Assortment Planning and Selection: Collaborate with the PL Team to curate a well-balanced assortment that align with the companys brand, target audience and market trends.
- Supplier Identification and Relationship Building: Source and evaluate potential garment suppliers and manufacturers domestically and internationally. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate terms and ensure adherence to quality and delivery standards.
- Negotiation: Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve favorable terms while maintaining quality standards. Work to secure the possible deals to optimize profit margins.
- Pricing Strategy: Set and adjust garment prices in line with market trends, competition, and company pricing strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained. Implement strategies to avoid overstocking or understocking issues while minimizing carrying costs.
- Visual Merchandising: Coordinate with the visual design team to create appealing and effective online displays of garments, including product images, descriptions, and styling suggestions to enhance the customer experience.
- Sales Analysis and Reporting: Regularly analyze sales data, customer feedback and market trends to make informed decisions about product performance, identify opportunities, and address challenges.
- Marketing and Promotions: Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute online promotions, campaigns, and sales events to drive customer engagement and boost sales.
- Seasonal Planning: Develop and execute seasonal merchandise plans, including markdown strategies, to ensure smooth transitions between collections and optimize sell-through.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data and analytics to make informed decisions about product assortment, inventory allocation, pricing, and promotional strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various teams, including marketing, finance, customer service and operations to ensure alignment and successful execution of merchandise strategies.
- Market Research: Stay updated on fashion trends, industry developments and customer preferences to anticipate and respond to changes in the market.
- Customer Feedback and Satisfaction: Monitor customer reviews, feedback, and ratings to address any product-related issues and continuously improve the customer experience.
- Forecasting and Demand Planning: Collaborate with the Business Intelligence Team to forecast demand for garments, considering seasonality, trends, and historical data.
Requirements- With 4-6 years of experience in category buying/merchandising
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong sourcing, negotiation & networking skills
- Solid analytical skill and knowledge of Microsoft office in order to navigate the systems, tools and reports
- Driven and act proactively to drive goals
- Has the entrepreneurial spirit to develop yourself and help grow the business
- Must be willing to work onsite (hybrid)
