Job Description

Job Summary

This role is responsible for the execution of sales activation strategies, implementing campaigns and promotions to drive sales and engagement, ensuring the grounding of East-West Seeds to its ultimate client, the Farmer. The position serves as the link between farmers and the commercial team, addressing all relevant farmers issues and concerns. It also supports the implemention of agreed Below-the-Line and demand generation activities to achieve short-term and strategic business objectives, in line with the product marketing strategies developed by the Marketing team.

Responsibilities

Sales Activation Execution

  • Achieve quarterly, annual, and medium-term quantitative activation and marketing goals like sell-out and grounding (POG) of East West Seeds.
  • Conduct detailing of all IG and DRIVE products to key target farmers.
  • Implement all agreed below-the-line and demand generation activities

Farmer Engagement & Government Relations

  • Linking with local and regional Department of Agriculture branches and institutions, key farmer groups, influencers, and consumers.
  • Encourage farmers to adopt vegetable production using East West seeds and its package of technologies.
  • Encourage consumers, farmers, and other stakeholders to consume EWPH vegetables.
  • Identify new business opportunities in their respective area of responsibility.

Cross-functional Collaboration & Culture Building

  • Contribution to the development of a local corporate culture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in implementing technical support and programs for FARMERS.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Gather and submit accurate and up-to-date market information, including market potential, competitive situation & activities, and other relevant market information required by the Commercial team.

Qualifications

  • BS Agribusiness Management or BS Agriculture or its equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of the Philippine agricultural market
  • Knowledge of Philippine vegetable seed, hybrid rice seed and hybrid corn seeds business distribution system is an advantage
  • Basic knowledge in sales and marketing principles.
  • Familiarity with agri-technologies and services is an advantage.
  • Proficient in using computer softwares like MS Word, MS Excel and MS Powerpoint or its equivalent.
  • Must know how to drive 4-wheel vehicle and has a valid driver's license.
  • Sales and marketing experience is an advantage but not required.
  • Fresh graduates from agricultural and agribusiness universities are welcome and encouraged to apply.
