The Facilities Maintenance Technician ensures the upkeep and excellent condition of company facilities , equipment, and fixtures. They are multi - skilled in areas such as carpentry, painting, and masonry, and know and observe safety practices throughout their work.
Responsibilities And Duties
- Conducts general upkeep of company buildings, offices, retail stores, among other facilities, equipment andfixtures.
- Clean, maintain , install and repair building fixtures and equipment including locks, windows, doors, electrical , roof drains, shelving and t he like .
- Repair plumbing fixtures, unclog drains and maintain plumbing systems.
- Make minor repairs to roofs, brick, asphalt, plaster and concrete.
- Paint walls and/or equipment and make minor painting repairs
- Maintain reports and documentation on repair and maintenance activities
- Coordinate professionally with relevant departments and internal or external teams for needed repair works.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and report & repair potential safety problems and concerns.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- At least one (1) year relevant work and/or technical experience , with knowledge in carpentry, masonry, and painting among others, and observant of safety practices
- At least high school graduate
- Good customer service skills
- Good communication skills
- Able to work alone or with a team
- Capable and willing to travel to and from relevant sites as needed
- Physically fit and able to perform needed technical tasks.
