Fabrication Manager – Electrical Enclosures & Switchgear (ROYU)

We are looking for a Fabrication Manager to lead end-to-end sheet metal fabrication for electrical enclosures and switchgear. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality production while driving on-time delivery, cost performance, and continuous improvement.
You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, translate engineering requirements into manufacturing execution, and play a key role in strengthening operational excellence across the fabrication function.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Operations Leadership
- Manage daily fabrication operations: punching, bending, stamping, welding, coating, and assembly
- Deliver production targets, schedules, and on-time commitments
- Monitor KPIs (throughput, downtime, utilization) and drive corrective actions
- Ensure smooth coordination across production, planning, and inventory
Continuous Improvement
- Lead Lean/Kaizen initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and lead times
- Analyze data to identify and implement process improvements
- Standardize best practices and drive defect reduction
Quality & Safety
- Ensure compliance with quality systems, engineering standards, and safety regulations
- Drive corrective and preventive actions for production and audit issues
- Champion a strong safety and quality culture on the shop floor
People Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop engineers and production support teams
- Set clear goals, track performance, and build team capability
- Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning
Resource & Cost Management
- Optimize manpower, equipment, and materials for efficient operations
- Control production costs, material usage, and waste
- Partner with Production Planning and Inventory Control and supply chain to ensure material readiness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (license is a plus)
- 8+ years in fabrication/manufacturing, with 5+ years in a leadership role
- Hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication (punching, bending, welding, powder coating)
- Strong background in production planning, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement
- Proven leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of quality systems and safety standards
