Role Description

The Executive Chef role at The Moment Group is a full-time, on-site position based in Makati. The Executive Chef will oversee kitchen operations, lead culinary planning, design innovative menus, and ensure food quality standards are consistently met. Responsibilities include managing inventory, supervising kitchen staff, minimizing waste, and upholding strict health and safety regulations. This role is integral to fostering a high-performing kitchen team while delivering exceptional dining experiences for guests.

What you'll be doing

1. Develop and implement creative, high-quality menus that showcase your culinary expertise and align with the brand's vision
2. Manage and mentor a team of skilled chefs, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to drive continuous improvement
3. Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards, as well as efficient cost control and inventory management
4. Collaborate with the marketing and operations teams to develop new products and services, and participate in promotional events
5. Monitor food trends and industry developments to continuously enhance the dining experience
6. Maintain a positive and collaborative work environment within the kitchen
7. Visit stores for process improvement and lead the team

Qualifications

1. Extensive experience (8+ years) as an Executive Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant or hotel environment
2. Proven track record of leading and developing successful kitechen operation teams
3. Solid leadership role in handling people
4. With commissary background
5. Excellent knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and kitchen management
6. Strong understanding of food cost controls, inventory management, and operational efficiency
7. Creativity and the ability to conceptualize innovative menu items
8. Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
9. Excellent communication
