As an Estimator, you are the strategic architect of the bid process. This role is designed for a technically proficient professional who can transform complex project requirements into accurate, competitive, and winning proposals. You won't just be crunching numbers; you will be analyzing market norms, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring that every submission reflects our commitment to quality, safety, and commercial excellence.

Your Impact

• Master of the Tendering Lifecycle: Lead the end-to-end quote process from initial read-in to final submission. You will be responsible for interpreting Request for Tender (RFT) documents, preparing technical clarifications, and managing client RFIs to ensure every bid is informed and complete.

• Precision Cost Engineering: Compile high-accuracy estimates and pricing schedules in line with current market values. You will monitor estimating norms and databases to ensure costs are realistic, seeking approval for strategic changes that enhance our competitive edge.

• Strategic Proposal Integration: Collaborate with Senior Estimators to develop proposal strategies, work method statements, and construction schedules. You ensure that organizational charts and technical deliverables are perfectly consistent with the client's criteria and our operational capabilities.

• Post-Award Handover & Value Engineering: Play a vital role in the transition from bid to build. You will participate in tender handover meetings with Project Managers and assist the team with better buying strategies and value engineering solutions to optimize project outcomes.

• Supply Chain & Client Liaison: Establish and maintain strong, honest relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. By expanding our subcontractor base and promoting healthy partnerships, you ensure we have the resources needed to deliver world-class projects.

What You Bring

• The Credentials: A degree qualification in Electrical Engineering is required.

• Technical Mastery: Extensive experience in estimating within the commercial, industrial, mining, resources, or construction industries. You are proficient in using estimating software such as WinEst, Simpro, or similar database systems.

• The Toolkit: High levels of computer literacy, with advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word. You have a strong understanding of OHS policies, Environmental compliance, and Quality Management systems.

• Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment. You are a self-starter with strong analytical skills and the communication prowess to manage stakeholders across the globe.
