Job Description

As an Estimator, you will prepare accurate cost estimates, analyze architectural plans, and collaborate with subcontractors to ensure every project runs efficiently. Your attention to detail will directly influence project quality, profitability, and client satisfaction.

The Qualifications We Seek

  • 1 year relevant experience
  • Degree in Architecture or Interior Design
  • 3 to 5 years of related estimating experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to read, understand, and organize construction plans and specifications
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while exercising great judgment
  • Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure to meet established deadlines
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, etc.

Your Daily Tasks

  • Prepare detailed and accurate bills of quantities from bid packages containing architectural drawings
  • Foster relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Develop and review subcontractor scopes of work; analyze quotes for best value
  • Prepare project bid status reports and ensure compliance with specifications
  • Present cost estimates for customer proposals considering general and special conditions
  • Prepare scope specifications and input project schedules and cost summaries into estimating software
  • Maintain an accurate database of cost codes for historical reference
  • Review completed projects and compare them against original estimates for accuracy
  • Utilize historical data and industry benchmarks for pricing estimates
